Here’s where they are today: Faye is down 52 pounds, 48 inches and 4 dress sizes!!! She’s focused on dropping another 40 pounds and is fully committed to achieving her goal. Joe has dropped 8 points on his body fat percentage…that’s 20%…and he’s put on over 10 pounds of muscle! His flexibility has greatly improved and he likes to say he can now reach body parts he hasn’t been able to in years.
With Joe’s constant nutrition support (have you seen his recipe re-dos?) and their commitment to another year of boot camp, they’ll be reaching their goals, looking and feeling great!!

Meet our Celebrity Client – Michele Bell
I am very excited to bring you not one, but two amazing stories of transformation. Michele and Wendi are two of our clients who will be sharing their successes, challenges and breakthroughs as they make a change to a healthier lifestyle.
Michele is our new Administrative Assistant. She is following our Nutrition KickStart program and she is doing Boot Camp 3-4 times per week.
Wendi is the owner of LaVie Imagery. She’s working out with Chris, one of our Personal Trainers twice per week.
Both Wendi and Michele are moms and career women. Both have different specific goals, but they both want to be living a healthier lifestyle. That’s where we come in. We’ll be guiding, assisting, challenging and rewarding them as they make their way through the transition and reaching their goals.
Michele’s story is below and I’ll be posting Wendi’s story later today.

Hi, I’m Michele and I’m Alaskafit’s new Admin Assistant.
Ginny has known me for a while and one of the reasons I’m working at AlaskaFit is all of the great health and fitness programs and info that I get to participate in. So, here I am, putting it all on the line, setting goals, getting back into shape and figuring out how to eat healthy for me and my family.
Here’s my story: I am a mother of 4 (they range in age from 17 to 8), I’m an Air Force wife, and a servant of God (not necessarily in that order). I try to be active but find I tire quickly. My diet hasn’t been what it should be and I’m now 45 lbs overweight. I’d like to say it’s baby weight, but my youngest is 8, Ican’t use that excuse anymore.
My short-term goal is to get physically active and lose some weight. I’m going on a cruise with “besties” in August, and ladies, you know how that goes. Yes, I want to look better in my bathing suit.
My second short-term goal is to start eating the right foods. I’ve already learned a lot and I still have a lot to learn, so I’ll keep you posted on how I’m doing and I’ll share what I learn with you.
My long-term goal is to get back to my ideal weight by losing 40-50 lbs. by December. It sounds ambitious, I know, but it’s 6 months away, or 26 weeks, so if I stay on track and lose 1-2 pounds per week, I should be able to do it. And, I’ll have you watching my progress, so I’ll have no choice but to stick with it.
I know I’ll get great support from Chris (yes, I’ll be at Boot Camp) and Ginny (I talk to her almost daily) and, I hope from you, too. Post comments (words of encouragement are always welcome
Or, come on in and join me. I’ve told you what my goals are. What are yours? It would be a lot of fun to hear from you and have you join me and Chris at Boot Camp or just do what you can “at home.”
I’m a little nervous, but I’m committed and I know I can do it. Keep me on track now, will you?
